About the event
Join us Saturday, November 28th from 2pm to 8pm at BRC SPA! A russian bath house located in Fairlawn, NJ where you can spend the day in full self care and relaxation. Enjoy the Jacuzzi, Aroma, Wet & Dry Saunas, Steam Room, Scrub Room, Cold Plunge, Pool, complimentary food and beverages - Floating pod and massage therapists available for an extra fee
We will be located in the VIP room of the Spa where we will also have access to our own private Jacuzzi and Sauna!

Sandals & Towels are provided by the Spa.
Please bring your own bathing suit, shower toiletries and optional yoga mat.
IMPORTANT HEALTH TIP: Make sure to hydrate well the day before with plenty of water, we suggest lemon water.

WHY THE BATH HOUSE?
Now more than ever we need to have the necessary tools for self healing. The Russian bath house, also known as the Banya, has been used for centuries in Russia to improve mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. This health ritual is one of our personal favorite tools for self care and we want to show you how to implement it into your own life in conjunction with Yoga, Breathing Techniques and Plant Medicine such as CBD. This helped us both fully heal from our injury and illness in 2016 which is what led to the creation of SannaOhana Yoga & Wellness!

A banya is about health as much as relaxation. Below are a few facts about it's benefits
Relaxation Simply put: the banya relaxes your entire body. Stress creates tension and manifests as aches and pains and reduced mental function. The heat and humidity of our sauna relaxes muscles and promotes the release of stress-caused tension. Your body will sigh in delight as your muscles unwind and pain subsides.
Weight loss A good sauna session is similar to mild exercise – expect to burn as much as 300 calories with no effort at all. Regular sauna treatments combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise may help you maintain a healthy weight.
Detoxification The banya increases blood circulation helping to detoxify the body, particularly in difficult areas like the teeth, bone and sinuses. The steam opens your pores and promotes cleansing for cleaner, healthier skin.
Improved immune system The heat from the banya creates an artificial “fever” ramping up your immune system. Regular use of our sauna helps fight illness, particularly during the wet and cold months
